As a son of hairstylists, Shannon grew up with a love and passion for the hair. Now an internationally known Platform Artist and Education/Creative Director, his talents have allowed him to lead a team of 1600 educators supporting 57 countries while leading trainings and stage shows in countries like England, Portugal, Italy, Spain, Jamaica, Trinidad, Korea, Canada, Sweden, Finland, Jamaica, Mexico, Australia, South Africa, China, Brazil, Bali and Singapore. Shannon’s appeared on the Oprah show doing make-overs and enjoys working backstage each season at New York Fashion Week.
Allyson has over 26 years of salon professional and salon leadership experience as the Co-Owner and CEO of Hair & Co BKLYN and Beauty 360 Consulting and former President and CEO of Dessange Group North America, Vice President of Education for Clarins, and head of the salon division for such companies as; Ulta Beauty and ColorWorks Salon a division of Ratner Companies. She became a Stylist right out of high school and later an American Board Certified Haircolorist. She writes a blog for Salon Today and was featured in Beauty Fashion Magazines “Counter Culture”, Salon Today “2013 Enterprising Women” and Scholar Magazine “Making It Personal”.
Chad Taber is a veteran in the salon and has spent over a decade working as a highly requested contract artist and Certified Colorist for Keune Haircosmetics. He thrives by sharing his experience and knowledge with other salon professionals, including his role as the Color Coach in Prospect Heights. Chad has worked with the Keune International Team back stage at New York Fashion Week and at Keune Evolution events, and he enjoys special event styling and working on set for editorials. He relocated to Brooklyn in 2015 to join the Hair & Co BKLYN team and he brings a fresh eye to the Brooklyn hair scene, inspired by fluid color, geometric shapes and a lived-in aesthetic. Experimental color techniques and avant garde cuts, styles and construction also feed his creative vibes.
Ash has worked in the in the beauty industry since 2011 and finds her passion not only in creating beautiful hair but also in building relationships and community through her work. As a Goldwell Master Stylist she specializes in curly hair and color, especially fantasy color. You’ll love her goofy, light hearted spirit and her commitment to creating the best client experience possible. You’ll leave your visit feeling your best, loving your hair and looking forward what’s next.
Janice is a loving Mom and Prospect Heights local. As a seasoned professional she’s known for her diverse clientele and passion for all textures of hair. While she has a love of haircolor, chemical work (relaxers and cold perms) and natural hair; she’s known for incredible weave installation and crotchet and hair braiding. Janice’s amazing energy, attention to detail and love for what’s possible will make your next hairstyle one to look forward to.
Originally from California with stints in Tokyo, Japan and Austin, Texas, Teddy is happy to now call New York his home. He has a graphic style, having studied at Avenue Five Institute in Austin, Texas, a Sassoon Connection School, The Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California and apprenticing at Sassoon Salons here in New York City. He has a strong affinity for precision cuts and creative color. In his spare time Teddy enjoys writing, sewing and playing the guitar. Teddy is also fluent in Japanese.
Alyssa is an old soul. Her calm patient demeanor shows up in every aspect of her work: how she; listens, practices her craft, pays attention to every detail, to her consistent ability deliver a enjoyable relaxing experience. Alyssa’s passion for all forms of art inspires her to be a lifetime learner constantly growing her skills all so she can help you look and feel like the best version of yourself. She loves detailed haircuts, razor cutting, dimensional haircolor and all types of hair painting.
Coming from the Bay Area, with a background in fine art, fashion and design, Savannah strives to make your vision come to life. She stays highly engaged in the translation of the current industry trends taken from her experiences at NYFW into cutting edge designs that suit your lifestyle.
