urse, as a salon that’s all about what Curlfest celebrates: Diversity, inclusion and natural beauty, we couldn’t resist hosting our own event to go along with the festivities.

What’s Curlfest?

Curlfest launched in 2014 by the Curly Girl Collective, a a marketing group focused on uplifting black women by celebrating their beauty. Curlfest is just one of their events that celebrates natural beauty, and every year for the past five years, Prospect Park holds more than 25,000 people at the one-day event.

At Curlfest, you’ll see infinite styles of natural hair from dip-dyed afros to twist, coils, and braids. We tried out some of these fun hairstyles for ourselves with the help of our blogger friends. Read on to see photos!
